I’ve fought and re-fought stupid battles with many friends and family backing him and standing behind the military. I still do (although I am becoming convinced more each day that Bush has very little control or influence over the Iraq war anymore.) I can’t for the life of me understand why we haven’t been bombing the border regions between Iran and Iraq since 2003, but maybe Bush thinks Iran flooding the country with weapons, terrorists and funding for the insurgency just isn’t something that needs to be stopped.
Stripping the financial penalty for back taxes from ILLEGAL ALIENS, however, is too much to stomach. If I had some outstanding back taxes, I would likely be designated a criminal by our wonderful system, and would have my LEGAL, LAW ABIDING life destroyed in the blink of an eye (on the flip-side, maybe being a criminal and breaking laws would get me free health care, education and tax relief under this Congress!)
